March 25

March 25, 2007

Hello :)

I’m in a lot of pain today. The left side of my face hurts. The side of my nose, my jaw, my ear, the upper part of my mouth. I dunno why.

But I’m having fun in Clean Place’s main room RPG (role-playing game). I just afflicted my poor character with a broken jaw, though :6:

I was going to go to the church home meeting today, but I’m tired from staying up late the past two nights and in pain, so I stayed home. Now I’m listening to The Return of the King soundtrack.

Yesterday I went to a Cherry Blossom Festival. I watched a really neat martial arts demonstration. They used swords and other weapons (fake ones, so they didn’t kill each other), some weapons I’d never heard of or seen before. The rest of the time we (my friends and I) walked around looking at the different goods for sale – jewelry, wooden creations, little animals made of cinnammon, etc.

I’m not sure what else to say right now, so I’ll end this post :)

Namárië and God bless you.

Another Entry

March 22, 2007

Suilad!

I am listening to the beautiful song “Warriors” from Lord of the Dance. It’s much like Riverdance. In fact, a member of Riverdance left and started Lord of the Dance. If you want to listen, go here.

I have the house to myself right now, as Mother and my younger sister went to a friend’s house and the rest of family is at work or college. I’ll have to think of something exciting to do :ninja:

Something I do need to think of is how to make my blog entries more interesting!

March 21

March 21, 2007

Greetings!

Today I have art class. I just a finished drawing a cat for a friend’s birthday, and now I’m going to be working on a picture of a guy (Horatio Hornblower, to be exact, though I’m just using his face as a guide and drawing it however I want).

The next Extra Credit Project is coming up soon on Clean Place. I started both PAFQ (Picture a Fantasy Quest) and ISOS (Interstellar Space Operatic Saga), but finished neither. I did complete AAP (Adopt a Plot), though. That story, The Door to the North, pretty much wrote itself. I really enjoyed it. I hope this next project will be as fun!

This summer, during SuNoWriMo (Summer Novel Writing Month, which is July), I think I’m going to try to write 50,000 words instead of 15,000 during the month. 50,000 is the word count for NaNoWriMo (National NoWriMo, in November), but since I didn’t end up doing that because of my computer and then my brother’s laptop I was using died, so I want to go for it in the summer, when I have no school (and this new computer! Maybe a laptop by then, if I can come up with the money).

10 minutes until I leave for art class, so I’d better make this short.

I have some ideas for what to do for SuNoWriMo already. I think I’ll go with the idea I posted in the Nook (on CP).

Of course, it’s months away :6: Four, to be exact.

I’ve got to go now. Namárië! (Elvish for “farewell”)

Breath

March 19, 2007

The breath of God

Blowing across a parched and weary land

Bones lie dry in the desert sand

Hope is a distant memory where nothing is alive

The bones lie dry in the desert sand

Unable now to even try

They lie long past the spark of life

But something stirs the barren trees

Something changes the flow of dead seas

A voice calls in the wilderness,

“Prepare ye the way of the Lord!”

A wind stirs the bones where they lie

Rain comes down, holy tears being cried

Angels wait in heaven’s skies

For the moment they can celebrate new life

And then heaven’s Creator breathes

Barren trees grow fruit and leaves

And abundant life fills once-dead seas

And new life fills once-dead lands

The bones stir in the desert sands

Stronger now comes the breath of God

A whisper of the power He holds in one hand

Stronger now the breath of God blows across the land

And thunder ripples from the skies

“Dry bones have life!”

Together now, the bones they come

Given new life by the death of the Son

Muscle and flesh cover them now

They rise and stand, to God they bow

An army now stands

Where once dry bones lay in desert sands.

Suilad!

March 19, 2007

Hello, blog reader. This is my first post in my new blog. I hope I remember to post here. I’ll talk about my writing, my day, books I’m reading, whatever I feel like talking about.

I’m going to go play around with the settings now. Namárië!
