I started reading Saint by Ted Dekker on Thursday, and I finished today. I highly recommend this book if you like suspense, intrigue, and unexpected plot turns, and Ted Dekker is a Christian author. I read it because the description sounded like Bourne (of The Bourne Identity, Supremacy, and Ultimatum – I’ve seen the movies but haven’t read tbe books). I wasn’t all disappointed, though it turned out very different from what I assumed at the beginning. But you need to read Showdown before you read Saint to understand some things.
Showdown. I finished reading the book Wednesday, and started the Wednesday before. It’s a good book, but there are some disturbing parts, and I don’t recommend it for anyone who’s not…how shall I say this…spiritually mature (I’m not saying I’m a very mature person in any way ;p but I wouldn’t have wanted to have read this book a few years ago). Summary: The book is about a showdown between good and evil in the small town of Paradise tucked away in the Colorodo mountains. But there is far more going on than what first appears. Of course, to understand things in Showdown, you need to read The Circle Trilogy.
I read the first book in the trilogy, Black, in two days and I stayed up until 3 AM one night to accomplish this because the story is so suspenseful and gripping. The entire trilogy, Black, Red, and White, paints a beautiful picture of God’s love for us, and I highly recommend it. Thomas Hunter, now living in America, is shot in the head by people from his past in the Phillipenes. He blacks out and wakes up in a forest in another world. Each time he goes to sleep in one reality, he wakes up in the other, and he may be the only person who can save both of them from terrible danger.
All of these books are well worth reading. I really enjoyed Saint and The Circle Trilogy. I enjoyed some parts of Showdown, and despite the ones I didn’t enjoy, it’s also a worthwhile read.
Have an amazing rest of your life. God loves you SO much.

P. S. To the person who asked if I’d read a certain book, I haven’t read that one.
