Good morning. I felt like writing a blog entry, so I am.

My sewing machine shipped yesterday! So hopefully it will arrive sometime next week. I want to go to Wal-Mart or Hobby Lobby soon to look at fabric…my first project will be a tabard. I learned yesterday that a friend recently bought a sewing machine of the same brand, though it’s a different model.

We might get a Christmas tree soon. I wonder how the Christmas tree thing started. I might have to look that up sometime…

I should do some chemistry homework soon. But I don’t feel very well today. But I should anyway, because I’ll feel worse if I don’t and have to cram it all into three days before class on Wednesday!

The youth group is making gingerbread houses two or three Fridays from now – those that sign up for it, anyway. I’m not very keen on the idea, except that I might be able to make mine resemble Rivendell or at the very least, The Prancing Pony or some such place. How, I’m not positive.

I just came across a quote that I really like: “But, the bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it.” – Thucydides

My first pronunciation of that name was “Thoosy-dides” (pronounced so I would remember how to spell it in my blog). I wonder what the real pronunciation is. Or is it prononciation? I think the first. Edit: You know, on second thought, I think is “o” instead of “u” there.

NaNoWriMo ended yesterday for most people, but for me it ended several days before that. I ended with fifty-seven thousand and something words, but if I hadn’t summarized so much and had the time to go on, it would have been more like 70,000. I am planning on going back and filling it out when I do not have so many other things to do. I also have in mind some ideas for a third book concerning those characters, Hayden especially, but that is one of numerous ideas floating around in my head, so I am not sure when and if it will get written. I really want to finish my stories of Jason Kirk, the stories labeled 120 Seconds parts 1, 2, and 3. Part one is an unedited draft, part two is an unfinished one, and part three I have not even started. But I’m very attatched to the characters, especially the main one, and the plot.

How many ways are there to say “Have an amazing, blessed, God-encountering day”? All of those to you.

I reached and passed 50,000 words in my novel this morning. I blinded poor Gabriel, so he is having a hard time adjusting, and he just got separated from Kylie and Hayden because they were attacked. So now he’s out in the middle of nowhere, without his sight, with his horse, and has run out of food, but of course he will be all right, because he’s the hero.

But, for the record, I have been nicer to Gabriel in the course of these two novels than I was to Calruin in The Quest for the Diamond Blade (which I am thinking about rewriting someday, or at least finishing). You can all rejoice, because I am leaning toward not killing Nastasia after all. Then I thought about killing Calruin, but I’m too fond of the character. So they will both, most likely, live, if I ever to get to the end. If I don’t, they will be suspended in time for all eternity, in the forest with the elves (at least, I think that’s where I left them). Which is fine for me, because I did not like the elves very much anyway, but they might get tired of waiting around. Or they would, if they were real, and now you are all quite sure that I am quite insane, which is probably true, but I don’t actually consider my characters as real people, and I don’t talk to them in my head on a regular basis, and this is a very long sentence! I only talk about them this way in this blog, or, well, for the most part. I do speak of them in a way something like this to my friends.

Hayden…I am not sure what he is up to. He confuses me, which is not very good, since I’m his writer :6: He has some sort of dark secret in his past that’s haunting him, but he won’t tell me what it is (in other words, I have no ideas). I do know what some of his past professions are, and any of those could have led something that is catching up with him, mercenary in particular, but I think he was only a mercenary for a short time.

5. My older brother, who occasionally adds things to my novels and other stories when I’m not in the room (none of his additions have remained), practices his Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu moves on me, bought me a wireless internet thing for my birthday ;p, and would shoot anyone that tried to harm me.

6. My older sister, who is one of my role-models in some ways, and is one of my friends and the person I hung out with when we were extra introverts (I still am, while she has grown in boldness) whose family was looking for a new church.

7. My younger sister, who I can be crazy around even when she doesn’t want me to, probably knows more about me then anyone else despite not being able to figure out my personality a’tall, puts up with me when I ask her to take pictures of me in some new cloak or sword, has late-night chats with me even when she wants to go to sleep, and who I had a great time with doing “interviews” in the karoake mic.

8. My two dogs, Molly and Sydney – Molly, the sweetest animal on earth, and Sydney, who provides me with quite a bit of amusement (and annoyance), and their “brothers” the gerbils, Tahn and Drinian.

9. The talents God has given me – writing, drawing, etc.

10. The fact that I am only 201 words away from reaching 50,000 words, though the story might not be over for another 50,000.

I’m rather tired right now, but I am writing a blog entry anyway, because I was inspired to by reading someone else’s blog. Go figure.

I’m a little over 46.5 thousand words in my NaNo. I was hoping to reach 50,000 today, but I had house cleaning to help with. We’re having a family from church over tomorrow for Thanksgiving, but I hope I can get a few thousand words written anyway.

I am trying to figure out how to make my blog entries more colorful and interesting, but most of the interesting things happen in my head and aren’t real. I am going to try to think of one thing that happened today that was interesting or funny.

Hmm….

Well, the best I can do is that my younger sister was sticking the smaller dog’s feet in my face while I was trying to write. Isn’t that sad? She tests my character. So when I learn how to respond to everything the way God wants me to, I will have a greater capacity to love unconditionally and will be able to deal with grown ups better when I grow up.

I really do love her and am grateful for her. We have shared many laughs together, and had many strange incidents where we were thinking exactly the same thing or knew what the other meant despite extremely vague terms being used (“You know that thing?”), and even though we have opposite personalities.

It’s supposed to rain tomorrow. I hope it does. Georgia needs rain badly.

I just did a word war with Crimson Phoenix and Legossi. I got 295 more words written in five minutes. I’m close to 47,000 now, less than a hundred words away. I’ll probably have reached that by the time I publish this blog entry, since I’m about to do another word war with them.

But I need to go to sleep after that, so on second thought, I will end it now.

I passed 40,000 words today and have gotten more into my story again! That makes me happy. I hope I can finish the novel by the end of the month. I also think I already said that here, but I am not sure.

I reached my goal for today – 34,000 (plus 14) – pretty early. I word-warred with myself.

Hayden is a much more interesting character than I knew he was.

I reached my goal for the day word-warring with Rasi! I am now at 30,418 and feeling a bit hyper/drunk on words, which is bad because I shouldn’t get cocky (“Don’t get cocky, kid” – Han Solo. Sorry for that bit of randomness.). I need to keep going, but after writing almost 4,000 words today, I would like a bit of a break. I might go get a snack.

I changed to Hayden’s POV and he turned out to be more interesting than I thought he was, even though I thought he was quite interesting and fun to write. He is deeper and more troubled than I assumed at first acquaintance and I feel sorry for him :6:

I think I will get something to eat now, because I am hungry, so namarie without the accent marks.

Here is an update, finally.

I have 25,607 words and need to reach 28,000 by the end of the day to meet my goal. I have chemistry class and I babysit today, so I am not sure if I will make it or not.

I went to the park today and got grass all over the bottom of my new cloak. For shame, Warrior Maiden! So I’m swiping it off between things. Remind me not to do that again.

The mini moot yesterday was great fun =-D I really enjoyed it.

I’m 2k words behind my own schedule. I have 20,000 and something words, and I want to be at 22k before the day ends.

Eight is great! And that is why all of the elements on the periodic table wish they were noble gases. But that’s beside the point.

It is 18:11 here and I am pushing toward 16,000 words. I have 105 that need to be written for me to reach that goal. I procrastinated horribly and am not proud of that. I wasted too much time looking for pictures online to use for my novel characters because I want to make a new desktop background with them :6:

The Clean Place Georgia Mini Moot II (the CPGMM II) is two days away! :pom: I am so excited about seeing the Georgia girls I met last time (Nimelen and the Ferns) and Crimson Phoenix and Legossi again, and I’ll be meeting Lamb of God.

The window is open and the crickets are chirping and I am tired.
