I have two pictures today. The first is of the finished dress. I had fun making it, but I’m happy to be done. Here ’tis:

All I have to do to finish the dress is the bottom hem. The picture is terrible – I have to keep it slightly mysterious until I’m done, of course. Here ’tis:

Yes, I didn’t take a picture yesterday. I remembered when it was time to go to bed – so I didn’t. Today’s picture is of the dress I’m making. One sleeve is giving me trouble. I’ve sewn it on twice and taken it off twice. Now I need to make another sleeve, but it looks a little abused. Anyway, here’s the picture (the dress is inside out):

I think I’ll sleep for 48 hours so I miss chemistry class and hopefully won’t be tired.

Ok, even I couldn’t sleep that long. I’d wake up and eventually just lying there would drive me crazy. And if I missed a class I’d have to go early the next time to catch up.

We’re taking care of a neighbor’s black labrador, Dulcy, while they’re out of town. Today I went over a couple of times and played with her. Here’s a picture:

Amy and I spent an hour or two in the woods today. We started out as rangers and then took a way back we hadn’t been before and ended up as crazed explorers following the sun as their last hope of freedom from the entangling forest. Or something like that. At least it came out where we thought it would. It was fun. Anyway, here’s a picture. We had our socks pulled over the bottoms of our pantlegs to keep bugs out. In this photo we’re on a fallen tree seven or eight feet above the ground.
