Oh yes.

November 22, 2007

I reached and passed 50,000 words in my novel this morning. I blinded poor Gabriel, so he is having a hard time adjusting, and he just got separated from Kylie and Hayden because they were attacked. So now he’s out in the middle of nowhere, without his sight, with his horse, and has run out of food, but of course he will be all right, because he’s the hero.

But, for the record, I have been nicer to Gabriel in the course of these two novels than I was to Calruin in The Quest for the Diamond Blade (which I am thinking about rewriting someday, or at least finishing). You can all rejoice, because I am leaning toward not killing Nastasia after all. Then I thought about killing Calruin, but I’m too fond of the character. So they will both, most likely, live, if I ever to get to the end. If I don’t, they will be suspended in time for all eternity, in the forest with the elves (at least, I think that’s where I left them). Which is fine for me, because I did not like the elves very much anyway, but they might get tired of waiting around. Or they would, if they were real, and now you are all quite sure that I am quite insane, which is probably true, but I don’t actually consider my characters as real people, and I don’t talk to them in my head on a regular basis, and this is a very long sentence! I only talk about them this way in this blog, or, well, for the most part. I do speak of them in a way something like this to my friends.

Hayden…I am not sure what he is up to. He confuses me, which is not very good, since I’m his writer :6: He has some sort of dark secret in his past that’s haunting him, but he won’t tell me what it is (in other words, I have no ideas). I do know what some of his past professions are, and any of those could have led something that is catching up with him, mercenary in particular, but I think he was only a mercenary for a short time.

Enough rambling.

God bless you.

Yikes

August 25, 2007

I don’t think about updating very often. I should, and I’m going to try to do that more.

Wednesday I started a chemistry class. I’m taking it with two other girls. I really wish I didn’t have to, but I do, so…

I also need to start seriously editing my novel. I’ve done the first chapter one and a half times, but other than that, not a’tall.

I made a new slideshow today using pictures of Clean Place members’ dogs. To the song – take a guess – Who Let the Dogs Out.

I need to get off now and get ready to go to The Well (a building near a well where a bunch of Christians meet to pray and worship and share testimonies). Here’s what’s been happening there, written by a woman who goes there.

I remember the day when, I was a child, and Jesus showed up at church. Services had been basically the same for years, or as I suspected, for generations. When the Holy Spirit announced his arrival, his message didn’t come through the minister, but a quiet housewife. As she stood trembling in front of the whole congregation and prophesied, people froze in shock. Prophecy, they had thought, was extinct. My father was so awed that he was unable to speak for hours afterward.

Then, not only did the Holy Spirit interrupt our traditions, He also interrupted a death sentence. A woman with terminal cancer was healed. In the weeks to follow, spectacular miracles became frequent through prayers of ordinary Christians. My dad was instantaneously healed of partial lameness after 15 years. It was like he got a new leg, and I got a new dad.

As this news leaked out, new people began to flock to our nice suburban church. But they didn’t look like us. Folks referred to them as “hippies”. They were abandoning drugs in favor of Jesus. I watched them bang out their unashamed worship on guitars. I was so inspired by their outrageous “born-again” exploits that my heart burned to love Jesus as they did. I was driven to my own encounter with Him and my destiny was changed.

Those hippies are now middle-aged. Not long ago a couple of them were interviewed in a Christian magazine. They’re affecting hundreds, maybe thousands of youth. If you do that long enough, you’ll end up rewriting history. And it all began with a housewife, a message, and The Unexpected Visitor.

In our Saturday night meetings He’s been visiting us as well. The Bible calls these “times of refreshing from the Presence of the Lord.” How can we roll out the red carpet until His visits are so frequent, they overlap? How can we ordinary people, like that housewife, be resting places for His Glory?

Last Saturday night the question went out, does anyone have a message from Him? Someone did. And then there were so many people giving words and testimonies that they could hardly fit them in sideways. These are just a few of the things that happened:

16-year-old [Younf Man] felt that there was someone there with a brain problem. [A guy] responded and said that he had been shot and still had the bullet…in his brain! This injury had partially paralyzed his left side. People prayed and he felt improvement.

[The guy] explained that he had actually died during the shooting, and had an encounter with Jesus whom he did not yet know. He and his wife will return to tell the rest of the story in September. Or you can watch their 700 Club interview on cbn.com under Matthew Botsford- to H### and back. Their website is www.seedsoflove.net

[A woman] just returned from Turkey full of joy and stories of Muslims encountering the Love of Jesus and His miracles. She’ll tell more next Saturday.

[Another one] prayed for a friend who had a hole in her lung. Shortly afterward the doctors said that it was gone.

[A man] had a word of knowledge for an injured kneecap. [A fellow] responded. After prayer [the fellow] felt immediate relief. The next day he ran up and down the stairs without pain for the first time in a long time.

If you are thirsty, stop by the Well- and get a large drink “to go”. If your cup is full, share with someone else. If it’s overflowing, find the driest desert you can, and pour out what He’s given to you. Then come back, grab the mic and tell us about it (in 5 minutes or less ) Alter the destiny of a kid who rewrites history. Or rewrite it yourself.

See you next Saturday,

[Lady who wrote the e-mail]

There’s nothing special about “the well” or the people that go there. They’re Christians just like you. They’ve just realized that when Jesus told His desciples in Matthew 10:8 to “8Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, cast out demons” He didn’t mean do it for a few hundred years and then stop. He meant for all of His followers to the end of time to do this, because when we become Christians we’re filled with the Holy Spirit and recieve the authority to do these things in Jesus’s name. People might no get healed every time you pray for them, but it still changes things, and it’s never a waste. The power of God is there for those who will seek after Him with all of their heart, for those hearts that burn for Him, to know Him, to do His will.

Getting off now. Have a slendiferous day. That sounds like a plant or something…

Here you go.

August 14, 2007

An update. I started editing my novel, though I haven’t gotten far into it yet.

*fifteen minutes later* Oh yeah…I have nothing else to say besides that I need to go bed.

Namarie.

SuNoWriMo Got Owned B)

August 1, 2007

I completed my novel yesterday, the last day of Summer Novel Writing Month, with 61,000 and the words “The End”. Now comes EdMo – Edit Month  I would love to work my novel into a readable, publishable piece of fiction, so that’s I’m going to do.

Now that July is over, I will hopefully be updating my blog more often!

Today we went and saw my great uncle, and he had some interesting things to say. Then we went to Wal-Mart and my younger sister and I bought matching outfits. Hehe we’ll have to take some pics and post them on Clean Place…Edit: We just realized hers has longer sleeves 3/4, while mine has short sleeves. Oh well.

I’m not sure how much editing on my SuNo I’ll do this month, since a break would be nice. I also want to return to the stories of Jason Kirk, the hero of 120 Seconds. Part one is done, minus the editing, and part two is partway done. I also have plans for a part three.

Once I do the first edits of my SuNo, I’ll look for approximately three people to read and seriously critique it. I hope some Clean Place members would like to :6:

I’m going to end this post now, and maybe do something else besides computer.

Namarie!

SuNo Update

July 3, 2007

My SuNo is going pretty well. I like the characters, especially Kylie and Michael. And Gabe. LOL. I’m at a little over 10,000 words. I want to get to 20,000 before Thursday night, when I leave to go to a friend’s house and then to another state. I will be gone until Sunday. I am not certain what time Sunday I will be back.

We had homemade pizza for dinner. Yum.

Tomorrow is Independence Day! Happy birthday, America. Remember you are one nation under God.

Laptop!

July 1, 2007

I was saving up for a laptop but I thought it would be at least another year before I could afford one.

But today, for an early birthday present, Dad got me one! He’s paying for part of it and I’m paying for part of it. I’m so excited, hehe. My brother’s setting it up right now :6: Just in time for me to do SuNo on it…I e-mailed myself the little part I already wrote so I can have it on there. Now I won’t be interrupted by people needing to use the computer :ninja:

Ok, done now. Bye =)

SuNo

June 26, 2007

Summer Novel Writing Month. 30,000 words. 31 days.

Ok, for me, actually, my personal goal is 50,000 words. I am muy excited :-D I have a plot idea and characters. I have two main characters. One of them is very dark – Michael de’Zenandrielle, whose eyes are as dark as his soul (c) and the others is very light – Gabriel Ram (c), the epitome of goodness, though he has his faults (I’m just not sure what they are yet…).

Plus my secondary characters, who are close to main – Kylie Rachael (c), a near fearless warrior woman :p , Zerian Terinay (c), a once rebellious…um, rebel….who is a Christian now, Rain Firerose (c), a quiet, shy, and beautiful young woman, Treasure Phoenix (c), who is bright, crazy, and joyful, and maybe one more character…Zlusha Terinay (c), Zadrian’s sister.

I hope I have enough plot to last 50,000 words. *sings* I do, I do, I do believe….(Steven Curtis Chapman).

I found a techno remix of the Braveheart theme song yesterday *lol* You can listen to it here if you want.

I posted the next chapter of my story 120 Seconds on Clean Place! So go read it :ninja:

Aura-vwa now. I don’t know how to spell that.
